Testing Accommodation Evaluations.

Standardized testing. Quick turnaround, carefully planned.

Dr. Lindsay Campbell offers standardized neuropsychological evaluations to support requests for testing accommodations. Whether you are preparing for the MCAT, SAT or a bar exam, the evaluation focuses on how your individual learning and cognitive needs relate to the demands of the exam.

A clear purpose

Quick turnaround, with your deadline in mind.

An exam deadline can make the next step feel urgent. Share your exam date and accommodation-submission deadline at first contact. The practice will discuss appointment availability, required records and the anticipated report delivery date before you book. Timing depends on the evaluation scope, completion of testing and receipt of the necessary information.

Report turnaround and the testing organization's review timeline are separate. Start early enough to allow for both. The exam administrator decides which accommodations to approve; an evaluation does not guarantee approval or a particular outcome.

One evaluation, a specific purpose

Which exam are you preparing for?

The documentation should address your needs and the exam you are taking. These examples are a starting point. Follow the testing organization's current instructions for your own request.

For medical-school applicants

MCAT

AAMC's process includes a current comprehensive evaluation and supporting information about your functioning and history. Review the requirements for your situation before arranging an evaluation.

SAT

College Board reviews accommodation requests through Services for Students with Disabilities. Existing school documentation may be relevant. Coordinate with your school and review what is needed before assuming new testing is required.

Bar exams

Requirements depend on the jurisdiction and your accommodation history. For the California bar exam, review the State Bar's current request process, documentation guidance and deadlines.

From your question to clear documentation.

  1. Start with your exam

Discuss the exam, submission deadline and current documentation requirements. Previous evaluations, educational records and a history of accommodations may help clarify the scope. Ask for secure record-transfer instructions before sharing documents.

  2. Complete the evaluation

Dr. Campbell uses standardized neuropsychological assessment alongside your history and relevant records. The assessment is selected for your individual needs and the referral question, rather than assuming the same tests fit every applicant.

  3. Review findings and next steps

The written report explains the findings and, where supported, accommodation recommendations linked to your functioning and the exam's demands. Confirm which forms or supporting materials are included, then submit your request through the testing organization's process.

A few helpful answers.

How quickly can I receive a report?

Quick turnaround is discussed at first contact. Share both your exam date and accommodation-submission deadline so the practice can confirm scheduling and an expected report delivery date before booking. Timing depends on the evaluation scope, completed testing and required records. The exam administrator's review takes additional time.

What does standardized neuropsychological testing involve?

Standardized assessments use established administration and scoring methods to help understand cognitive and learning functioning. Dr. Campbell selects the assessment for the individual referral and interprets it alongside your history, records and current concerns. A single test score does not determine whether accommodations will be approved.

Does a diagnosis automatically qualify me for accommodations?

No. Each testing organization has its own process and documentation requirements. The evaluation addresses how an individual's difficulties affect functioning in the relevant testing context. Approval and the specific accommodations granted are determined by the exam administrator.

I already have an evaluation or school accommodations. Do I need new testing?

You may not need a full new evaluation. Share the age and type of your existing documentation and the exam organization's current requirements with the practice. The appropriate next step may be review of existing records, updated documentation or additional assessment, depending on your situation.

Can you help with bar-exam accommodations outside California?

The California bar exam is one example covered here. Requirements vary by jurisdiction. Contact the practice with the specific exam and jurisdiction so referral fit, licensure considerations and documentation requirements can be reviewed before scheduling.

Can testing be completed virtually?

The appointment format depends on the assessment and the exam organization's requirements. Discuss the available in-person and remote components with the practice before booking; do not assume that all testing can be completed online.

What are the fees, and can I use insurance?

Fees and payment arrangements are confirmed before scheduling. Insurance participation for other practice services does not establish coverage for an evaluation requested for exam accommodations. Ask the practice about your specific referral and any coverage questions.
